Review of Sage The Smart Oven Pro and Lakeland Smart Touch Induction Hob

Hello Adventurers!

Today I am going to be reviewing both the ‘Sage The Smart Oven Pro’ and the ‘Lakeland Smart Touch Induction Hob’.  I ordered both of these from Lakeland, around Boxing Day last year because I wanted to try and get them in the sales as they were fairly pricey.  In the end, the Oven Pro had £50 off, down to £300, but the Induction Hob wasn’t in the sale and was priced at approximately £100.

Some Like It Hot (1959) Review

Hello Adventurers!

This film is laugh out loud funny!  Comedies are one of my favourite genre of films and that I why I love watching them.  This film was one of those classics that stands the test of time.  It was given to me on my birthday recently and we watched it while in Spain as it was too hot to be outside over the lunchtime period.  This film has made me realise that even though classics can be completely different to modern day films, they are just as funny and they don’t need complicated story lines to be great. Ocean’s Eight (2018) Review

Hello Adventurers!

This film came out really recently.  As I knew this film was coming out I had in the back of my mind that I wanted to watch all of the originals, or what I thought were the originals.  I didn’t know, until my Dad told me, that the Ocean’s trilogy (2001 to 2007) weren’t the originals, that title belonged to the Ocean’s 11 film made all the way back in 1960.  Anyway, as I was saying, I had in the back of my mind that I wanted to watch the 2000’s versions of this film and, funnily enough, they were all on TV not that long ago and my Dad recorded them all for me, result and thank you Daddy. E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial (1982) Review

Hello Adventurers!

This film is another classic, which I hadn’t seen but had heard a lot about.  I found it to be a very emotional film, both making me laugh out loud and almost cry, which I can tell you I was not expecting! Continue reading “E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial (1982) Review”

Edward Scissorhands (1990) Review

Hello Adventurers!

This is a film that I have wanted to watch for ages, but was worried that it was a proper horror film.  I cannot actually believe how wrong I was!  I would class this film as a combination of both Frankenstein and Beauty and the Beast in story line, which are two great films!  This film is totally different to what I was expecting and that is a rarity for me, which is possibly one of the reasons I like this film so much. It (2017) Review

Hello Adventurers!

This film is fantastic!  I do not like horrors, but there are the odd few that I have watched and enjoyed, the original to this being one of them.  I really couldn’t wait to see this film and it was actually the trailer for it that made me want to watch it, and the original.  That being said, this is only one of the few ‘horror’ films that I have watched that I would actually class as a horror.  I wouldn’t watch this film on my own, I would have to watch it with my one or both of my parents… my Mum for comfort and my Dad for protection, HAHAHA! The Shining (1980) Review

Hello Adventurers!

I am going to be talking to you about a film that, one, I am posting thirty-eight years to the day of its release in the UK, and, two, that many think of as a horror film.  Seeing as it is October, I wanted to try and make all of the Friday ‘review’ blog posts about horror, or Halloweeny films.  I thought that this film would be a good way to start as I have never seen it before as I thought that it was horribly scary and would give me massive nightmares, however this isn’t the case. Gallery of the Dead – Chris Carter Review

Hello Adventurers!

For the last couple of years my Dad has taken both me and my Mum away to Spain for my birthday.  On these holidays, I like to do literally nothing… other than read.  I hardly get any time to read day to day, so I take this opportunity every year to try and read at least one book.  Also, as a quick side note, one of my New Year’s Resolutions every year is to read at least three books, and I am a slow reader… so leaving it this late in the year is a good and bad thing.  I get to read a book which knocks one off the list, but it still means that I have to read two more in three months, a challenge, yes, but when I do get to read I really enjoy it and I think that this time away has helped rekindle that love again, result! Dirty Dancing (1987) Review

Hello Adventurers!

To start with I love this film. I find it such a simple(ish) story with major heart! It never fails to leave me with a smile on my face and that is what makes me love some films so much.  This is also one of my all time favourite dance movies, along with ‘Step Up’, and after watching this film again recently, I really must investigate more dance films.   This film is hugely iconic, so much so, that it is even mentioned in one of my favourite household TV shows, ‘The Big Bang Theory’.
