It (2017) Review

Hello Adventurers!

This film is fantastic!  I do not like horrors, but there are the odd few that I have watched and enjoyed, the original to this being one of them.  I really couldn’t wait to see this film and it was actually the trailer for it that made me want to watch it, and the original.  That being said, this is only one of the few ‘horror’ films that I have watched that I would actually class as a horror.  I wouldn’t watch this film on my own, I would have to watch it with my one or both of my parents… my Mum for comfort and my Dad for protection, HAHAHA! Gluten Free Chicken and Mushroom Pie

Hello Adventurers!

I love pie recipes and they are something that I should look into more.  I think that they are good all year around, but particularly in the autumn and winter as I find they are very comforting.  I was making some of my gluten free shortcrust pastry for a baking video, and thought that this would be a good use for the pastry. Gluten Free Victoria Sponge Tray Cake

Hello Adventurers!

I love Victoria sponge cake (link here for my recipe).  It is a beautifully simple and easy to make cake… perfect for any occasion and skill of the baker giving it a go.  I particularly love this recipe because it combines two of my favourites, not only it being a Victoria sponge, but two, being a tray cake!  This serves so many people with both big and small slices.  After all that waffling, let’s-a-go! What I Got For My Birthday 2018

Hello Adventurers!

This year for my birthday, as I have for the last couple of years, I went with my parents to Torremolinos in Spain as I am lucky enough for my Dad to pay for and take me to Spain around my birthday.  This year I turned twenty-two and I had a great time.  I do wonder when I have my birthday if I should be doing more for it to celebrate, but I just want to spend time relaxing on my birthday as when I am at home, I work all the time and only get one day off a week.  I spent the day relaxing, reading, watched a film, dinner, and then bed… WHAT A GREAT DAY!

So, now moving onto what I actually got for my birthday for presents which technically came in five batches.  I got two presents before I left for my holiday/actual birthday, presents on my birthday, items I bought on my birthday with some birthday money, at the airport heading home from Spain I shopped in Desigual and then presents that were waiting for me back home that were too big to take with us on holiday.  Let’s-a-go! Continue reading “What I Got For My Birthday 2018”

My Style (take it or leave it…) – 08-10-2018

Hello Adventurers!

This weekend started with me and my Mum having my Goddaughter over the night before.  We then all had a chilled wake up and then my Goddaughter had some breakfast.  Mum got her dressed while I had a shower and got dressed, and then she took both my Goddaughter and the dogs out for a walk.  While I was getting dress and my things together my cousin called and said that there had been a mix up on the timings and that my Goddaughter’s grandmother was there to pick her up now, and not in an hour… so I quickly got my things together and went over to the field and told my Mum that we had to go. The Shining (1980) Review

Hello Adventurers!

I am going to be talking to you about a film that, one, I am posting thirty-eight years to the day of its release in the UK, and, two, that many think of as a horror film.  Seeing as it is October, I wanted to try and make all of the Friday ‘review’ blog posts about horror, or Halloweeny films.  I thought that this film would be a good way to start as I have never seen it before as I thought that it was horribly scary and would give me massive nightmares, however this isn’t the case. Orange Flavoured Water

Hello Adventurers!

Flavoured water is great!  I find it an awesome way of getting water into your system without it being boring.  This is my version of orange flavoured water which is made only using the fruit and has no additional additives which you tend to find in shop-bought products.  Lets-a-go! Continue reading “Orange Flavoured Water”

Gluten Free Simple Vanilla Loaf

Hello Adventurers!

Today I am making one of my favourite cakes, but the vanilla version.  I love loaf cakes as, I guess as the name suggests, they are like a loaf of bread, meaning that the cake can be shared out between a lot people and, if you want to eat you can just say that it is a slice of bread, hehehe.

Let’s-a-go! Continue reading “Gluten Free Simple Vanilla Loaf”
