So, another long weekend- this is great!
Mine started with a lay in as my Dad is away so Mum and I weren’t so tied to time, however we walked the dogs then went to breakfast and then off to ASDA for the weekly shop and to get ingredients so I could meet my goal to film over the weekend.
I was taken poorly while walking around so we dropped the goal of two filming episodes to one. If I wanted to meet my obligation of putting up Wednesday’s film I had no choice but to both film and edit it! Drated obligations!
So we finished shopping, then had the obligatory coffee for Mum and home we went to set up.
We also wanted to film painting a cupboard and I managed the intro, then concentrated on the Wednesday baking video. It went easier than I thought it would and worked first time so I was happy.
Mum had done some of the basic painting then I started painting the first of the drawers which are going to be different shades of blue – that is until it rained! So we had to stop.
I finished the one I was doing then it was basically time to go out to dinner.
The dinner was lovely then we came home and Mum jigsaw’ed while I edited. I managed to get the first edit done then the laptop ran out of charge so I went to bed.
Sunday was up and out to breakfast then off to pick up an exercise bike from my Dad’s so I can do cycling, which won’t hurt my chest and Mum can do our exercise regime.
We stopped at Tesco to pick up some ingredients for my filming on Monday and I said I’d cook dinner today and Nana is going to make a roast dinner on Monday instead. This was because we were taking Nana out to get her birthday present and I didn’t want her working and having to stand when she got back.
We hit a problem at my Dad’s when the key stuck in the door when we got there! It took about fifteen minutes to get it out which was a worry for when we left. So we had Costa coffees (bought at Tesco’s) then set off home straight away. Mum cleverly carried the exercise bike – leaving me to deal with the key, but I didn’t stand any nonsense and it didn’t take too long to force it out. I did call my Dad to let him know we’d had a problem but he’d been celebrating his niece’s birthday and Holy Communion and was frankly too plastered to care!
So we got back and waited for my cousin who was going to pick us up and drive us to the garden centre. Unfortunately things got delayed so we didn’t get there until much later than planned but the garden centre was brilliant. Mum and I hadn’t been there before and we walked around taking it all in.
Nana bought two jackets, a shirt, three plant pots, a huge plant pot for a tree my aunt had bought her and about eight plants! So I guess she enjoyed herself.
We got home and I cooked dinner, then we chilled for the evening – and we’ve still got another day off!
This weekend I wore my black dungarees from New Look, a white vest top from ASDA, a long sleeved white top from Sainsbury’s and a blue over-shirt from ASDA with my pixie boots from Primark.
Let me know what your weekend was like in the comments below!
Remember be brave, be happy, be kind, be you!
See you next time…
