Today I am going through my monthly favourites for February. I really enjoyed doing last month’s and I also love that it reminds me of what’s been so good about the month.
Let’s a go!
Firstly, my favourite YouTube videos were ‘Candy Cupcakes’, link here, because it made me practice decorating a cupcake which is something I want to work on and become more confident at. It was also the perfect way to start as it was simple, but looked great. My second favourite was my ‘Shortcake fail’, link here, because it allowed me to put pride aside, which was hard as I’m quite a perfectionist. But I love it when other YouTubers put up fails to remind us we’re all human so I’ve put it up anyway.
Secondly, my favourite blog post was ‘My Goals’ as it allowed me to know exactly what I want to achieve this year, keeping me focussed. Link here if you are interested in reading the blog post, or watching the video, link here.
My favourite outfit in February was from ‘My Style (take it or leave it…) – 25-02-2019’, link here, because I absolutely love the colour combination and it was the first set of clothes I could wear which were ‘summery’ because the weather was so nice for a few days.
Favourite beauty product was ‘Sudocrem’, because it works wonders on blemishes especially when they are sore or you’re going out the next day – cover them with Sudacrem overnight and see what happens. Try it and let me know how you get on!
My favourite book for the month was ‘The Cruxifix Killer’ by Chris Carter. This book is amazing, I am really enjoying reading it and I am fully hooked on it. Just like it says on the cover, it is as addictive as a TV box set and seeing how it is the first one of this series, I cannot wait to read the rest! I’ve found I can read thrillers at night without it affecting my sleep and, as I couldn’t get any further with ‘The Shining’ because it was affecting my being able to drift off, I had to change books. I will get back to ‘The Shining’ when the nights are longer …
February’s favourite bake was ‘Zoella’s Apple Crumble Cupcakes’, link here. Again, it made me focus on the decoration and helped me learn how to make apple crumble, which is a favourite of mine and my Mum’s and I made an apple crumble pie with the left over apples, link here, which made my Mum happy.
My favourite song was ‘In My Dreams’. This is from ‘Anastasia’, a favourite film from when I was younger and I found out last month that it has been made into a live action musical. I cannot wait for it to make its way over to the UK… I will definitely be seeing that! I also love ‘Journey to the Past’ and ‘Once Upon a December’ from the same film and musical. I find myself singing or humming them all constantly.
Then, my favourite buy for February was Jackmans Cherry Menthol Sweets from Tescos. I was completely loaded with a cold at the beginning of February and I usually take a children’s medicine to help with that as I have found it the best thing for a cough, but I just could not get my throat sorted. My Mum picked these up for me and they worked so well that I ended up taking them over the medicine! This meant I didn’t have to take any pills to ease the pain, which was great.
Per above, my favourite food was my own recipe ‘Apple Crumble’, link here, which I haven’t had since I had to go gluten free and, having made up the recipe, I can make it for Sunday dessert for me, my Mum and my Nana.
February’s favourite moment was going to see my sister for a catch up. I hadn’t seen her since Christmas because when she was available I had two colds quite close together and I didn’t want to risk spreading it. It was great to sit and chat and, basically, chill.
DVD favourites this month were ‘An American Werewolf in London’ and ‘Venom’. My Dad had nagged me to watch the werewolf one, which Mum refused to watch with me because there was a part in it which scared her but I thought it was funny, with excellent make up for its time. I watched ‘Venom’ every day when I was sick and found it funny, action filled and I just love Tom Hardy.
Let me know what you thought of this post in the comments below, along with your favourites for February! Also, check out my video and links to as many products as I can find below!
Remember be brave, be happy, be kind, be you!
