Plain Lemonade

Hello Adventurers!

I LOVE LEMONADE!  It is one of my favourite drinks and I particularly love that I have found a recipe that doesn’t add loads of sugar, sweeteners or fizz.  Particularly the fizz as I have found that fizzy drinks upset my chest so this is a huge bonus.  Let’s-a-go!

Ingredients:

Juice of One Lemon

Golden Syrup (I used 1 tbsp)

Water

Equipment:

Measuring Jug

Small Knife

Lemon Squeezer

Bowl

Teaspoon

Sieve (Optional)

Method:

Work out how much your glass can take by filling it with water to your desired amount and emptying that into a measuring jug.

Cut your lemon in half with a small knife and, using your lemon squeezer, squeeze out all the juice into your measuring jug from both halves of the lemon.  I didn’t have a lemon squeezer so I just used my hands, I found using a measuring jug good as I found that this stopped the juice from squeezing everywhere.

Pick the seeds out of your lemon juice and set aside into a spare bowl.

Add water until it reaches your desired amount and mix together.

Add golden syrup to taste (I used a tablespoon) and mix for a final time.

Pour into your glass.  You can also run the juice through a sieve to get rid of any bits if you prefer.

Enjoy!
