Since this is my birthday month, I want to do recipes of food and drink that I love and one of my all time favourite drinks is a virgin mojito. I am so happy that I now have a recipe so that I can make it for myself at home and I don’t have to wait until I got out to dinner (when I would normally order this drink), to drink it. This recipe is based on a 250ml glass, lets-a-go!
8 – 12 Leaves of Mint, I used 12 (this depends on how minty you like your mojito)
1 tsp Sugar
1 Lime, juiced
Pestle and Mortar
Work out how much your glass can take by filling it with water to your desired amount and emptying that into a measuring jug.
Now, juice your lime, if you haven’t already, and place the juice into your measuring jug.
Place your mint leaves into a pestle and mortar, along with your sugar and crush until well combined.
Now, fill up the rest of the measuring jug, to your desired amount with water.
Add your sugary mint leaves to your measuring jug and give it a little mix with a wooden spoon or tablespoon.
Pour into your glass through a sieve to get rid of the mint (setting them aside in a separate bowl).
Serve and enjoy!
