I thought as Wimbledon started this week I would take a much loved food from there and turn it into a milkshake as the weather as been so nice! I cannot imagine any better drink, other than lemonade, to have in this weather and I am so happy with the recipe. Also, Wimbledon has been on the TV all week as that is all that my Uncle and Nana have been watching… other than the World Cup, of course! This recipe makes approximately 500ml.
150ml Dairy-Free Cream, I used lactofree cream
2 tsp Caster Sugar
3/4 tsp Vanilla Extract
125ml Dairy-Free Milk, I used lactofree skimmed milk
230g Strawberries, stalks removed and thinly sliced
Whisk/Electric Hand Whisk
Measure out your ingredients and grab your small mixing bowl and either your whisk, or whisk parts that you are later going to place in your hand mixer. Place your mixing bowl and your whisk/whisk parts and put them in the freezer for twenty minutes.
NOTE: The above step is totally optional, so if you have time do this go ahead, but if you are in a rush, do not worry about it.
After this time, pour your cream, sugar and vanilla into the large mixing bowl and whisk until you pull out your whisk and it forms stiff peaks.
Do not over beat! Check your mixture constantly so you know where you are at.
Place your whipped cream in your blender, followed by your strawberries, then milk.
Blend together until smooth.
Serve and enjoy!
