Creating My YouTube Space: Part 7

Hello Adventurers!

Hey guys, how are you?  Welcome to part seven of this adventure!  Let’s get started.

After the struggles I was having with the equipment I had a tough decision to make as to whether I was going to continue with the videos I was doing or whether to leave them for a while and focus on a different part of YouTube that I like to call ‘talking main channel videos’.  After having many discussions with my Mum, I decided to leave doing the baking/cooking videos the way I was doing them as I found it too much of a struggle as I was in quite a low place at the time, I had a lot on my plate at home, plus trying to complete all my jobs to do with my blog, it just wasn’t the right time for me to be doing the baking/cooking videos even though I so wanted to.

Now that I had decided to do the ‘talking’ videos, I had to decide where to do them.  As I am living in my Nana’s house and at the time, in actual fact in her bedroom, it wasn’t really fair to ask if I could change what her room looks like as, no offence to her, I didn’t want my background to be purple.  So that was crossed off the list.  We then thought that I could do my work in the loft area, but if I stand up straight my head nearly touches the ceiling and it is just overall really cramped up there with boxes after boxes everywhere.

At this point there was really only one place left… and that was my Nana’s garage.  That weekend we went down there and had a look at what needed to be done if I wanted to film down there, and where we could set everything up.  It wasn’t a complete mess or anything there were just loads of boxes that needed going through and moved.  As this was the only place that I could find in private (as I was also nervous about doing it up the house in case anyone was listening to me filming), we asked my Nana if we could set this up, and she said yes!  She had mentioned a few times about going down there and sorting everything out, and if this gave her and me and Mum the push then that was even more fantastic.  And that was it, we had a lot of work to do and quite little time in which to do it.  Did I forget to mention that I wanted all of this done before the first of December?  I had planned to do loads of Christmas videos, one to go up every day of December up to Christmas.

So, that’s part seven done, stay tuned for the next part where I will be talking about how we cleared the space, created a better floor and background, set up better storage and set up music for us to listen to while we worked.

Let me know if you think that was interesting for you guys, also, if you are doing YouTube, let me know where and how you set up your backgrounds.  Also leave your channel names in the description so I can check them all out!

Remember be brave, be happy, be kind, be you!

See you next time…
