This is a recipe that I have really looked forward to doing and have wanted to do for a looooooong old time! I only tend to drink around six different drinks regularly: hot chocolate, apple juice, cranberry juice, orange juice, capri-suns and finally water. I try to drink around two litres of water a day, emphasis on the ‘try’! However, I find, as I imagine most people do when drinking water, is that it has no flavour and, therefore, for me is more of a chore and I am only doing it to keep me healthy and my skin clear.
I do like drinking flavoured water, but I feel that the sugar levels in some of them are very high, so I wanted to try and create as much of a sugar free version that I could do at home with little fuss, but packs flavour into what I find a fairly boring drink, lets-a-go!
3 Apples, cored and chopped into slices
1 Litre of Water
Large Mixing Bowl x 2
Grab your apples and place on your chopping board.
Core and slice your apples, either with a combination of an apple corer and a knife, or an apple slicer.
Place your apple slices into your measuring jug.
Measure out one litre of water and add to your bowl.
Place your apple water into the fridge overnight.
In the morning, place your apple slices into a bowl and keep in the fridge where you can eat them as a snack later or for the next couple of days.
If you don’t like bits in your drinks, using a sieve and your measuring jug, you can pour your apple water through the sieve into your jug.
Serve and enjoy!
